Charmed by Dawn Jewelry Designs Featured at Chattanooga’s Lookout Mountain Gallery

Self taught artist now featured in Chattanooga art gallery with unique handcrafted artisan jewelry made from wire, found objects, artisan glasswork and hardware.

(PRWEB) March 21, 2010 — Jewelry designer Dawn Skowronnek, owner of Charmed by Dawn, is pleased to announce that her original, limited-edition designs are now available at the well-known Lookout Mountain Gallery in Chattanooga, Tenn. “This is my first opportunity to be featured in a gallery and I am honored,” says Dawn, a self-taught artist.

When you see her pieces, you will notice her original and unique style using handmade wire components, which are integral to her designs. “Wire is an amazing medium. I love that you can take a spool of straight wire and give it unexpected life. Wire can be crafted into a bold statement or it can complement your design in a delicate manner. It offers ultimate flexibility.”

In addition to working with wire, she incorporates artisan lampwork, pearls, Swarovski crystals, Murano glass, found objects and even hardware store nuts and bolts. Most of the elements in any design are entirely handmade, including wire beads, coils, toggles and ear wires.

In addition to her entrepreneurial endeavors, Dawn is passionate in helping local charities by donating her original works for fundraising events. Recently, she donated a one-of-a-kind, artisan glass bead and wire creation for the Creative Discovery Museum’s annual “Amuse”Um event.
